Google which produces there flagship tablet series called “NEXUS” in which Google has always tried to do something special for every NEXUS tablet though it may be with its software configuration or with its hardware and due to such experiment’s their tablet has become people’s first choice of buying in recent years.
The Nexus 7 which has been labeled as one of the most hack able device of 2012 thanks to Google’s innovative ideas while making a tablet which differs from its previous version in some way or the other. And now they again included some features like upgrading it to JELLY BEAN OS, as well as including buttons for gaming. So, for extreme gamers this one is going out to be a perfect partner during traveling.
The new NEXUS 7 UI is not just a device; it’s a complete new device. With new OS, when Google tried to design a 7 inch tablet they completely changed the conventional tablet powered by android OS. The NEXUS 7 UI is not just a phone, or a tablet but mix of both.

Before the N7, Android gave you two different system bar layouts: The 2 bar layout (right), which has the button bar on the bottom, centered buttons, and a status bar on the top; and the 1 bar layout (left), which has a combined button and status bar on the bottom, with left aligned buttons. Conventional wisdom said the 2 bar layout was for phones, and the 1 bar layout was for tablets.

Their rotation behavior is different too. For the 2 bar layout the button does not move with orientation, and the status bar does. It means in portrait mode they remains at bottom while the status bar goes to top, while in landscape mode the buttons are on the right, and the status bar is on the top. The 1 bar layout is much simpler, the single bar moves with the orientation, so everything is always on the bottom.
This was the outlook of bars till the NEXUS 7 was launched. The left one was how the phone worked and the right one was how the tablets worked. When NEXUS 7 launched the clean tablet/phone came crashing down.

This is the Nexus 7′s system UI. It’s a third style of device – a phone/tablet hybrid. The dual-bar, centered button layout of a phone and all-orientations are equal rotation of a tablet.
It looks like the most logical rotation style for dual bar UI, but things don’t work in this way on phone, because in landscape the vertical space is at premium, and due to dual bar it will consume more screen space hence less space for display, but it’s not with the case of NEXUS 7 due to its 7 inch display you got more breathtaking space, so Google opted for consistent button locations- they’re always on top.
Due to this kind of button arrangements it has really boosted its gaming usability. With bottom centered buttons, you are much less likely to accidentally hit a system button while blowing stuff up.

Consider a typical “touch screen touch pad” control scheme, like a dead trigger. On the above fig, which is a Galaxy Nexus, your right thumb is very near to back and home button, and while gaming as you all know we never care about buttons and in such case during extreme situation in games and by your fault you accidentally touches any of the button, then your whole gaming session will be lost. And you may feel to break this device into two parts.

While in the case of N7 the whole system buttons has been placed at top center position hence you will hardly get time to accidentally touch back or home button while you’re gaming sessions. Even the positioning of start/select button of N7 is reminiscent of a real controller. In fact, hold an xbox 360 controller and N7 controller you will see the staring resemblance.

While the hid-able buttons are good as it would resolve the problem of accidentally hitting the system button as well as the doubt which sets in our mind while playing. “Where are my buttons?”A problem might occur because of hidden buttons. Phone doesn’t have such space to hold such layouts and it would be interesting to see what will be the layout for a 10 inch tablet.
It has been praised as a good media consumption device. Matias Duarte, the head of Android UX, even confirmed the button placement gaming considerations in a Google+ thread. The N7′S weight and size makes it perfect gadget for gaming and the new button layout makes it more interesting to work over it.
