Angry Birds Star Wars Review

So the Angry Birds series is back with another one, this time it has combined with Lucas Arts for Angry Birds Star Wars.The popularity of Angry Birds series has decreased a bit due to competetion from other games and also the fact that the series itself got a little repetetive with the same level designs. So Rovio games had to make some major gameplay changes and they have managed to do that in Angry Birds Star Wars.

This game is similar to Angry Birds Space as most of its settings do take place in space.But this game is has changed the appearance and ability of every bird in the series. The way how these words have been revamped makes this game super awesome. And for all those who have watched the star wars series will be familiar with birds as some of them represent the characters of the main movie.

So here’s a review/walkthrough of what you will find while playing this game.Here’s some of the opening screenshots of the game.

The opening is also backed up with some amazing music from star wars. They add some energy into this game.And yea just like Angry Birds Space, levels take place in different planets.Some of the levels are pretty similar to the which was there in space but the special effects of the characters add some zing into the levels.

The levels are pretty well designed. The UI has changed a lot and is one of the best UI’s in the angry birds series.The scoring system remains the same but the joy of hearing the 3 star is something else.Like I said the music and the sound in this game is one the best.

The birds have been appearance makeover and also got some cool new powers.THe birds do upgraded as the game progresses.

The red bird now swings his laser saber once touched breaking whichever is near to the bird.

The black birds which use to explode when touched now blasts some waves in the direction of touch and it gets upgraded as the missions progresses.It’s one of the strongest birds out there and one bird is enough to finish off a level, provided you use its power in the right direction.

And my favorite bird , the yellow bird which used to boost its speed in the original Angry Bird ,now has laser gun with him. It shoots laser 3 times where the touch is made.Laser plays a huge role in this game because its a star wars game afterall. The laser also reflects metal objects and this takes advantage of the laser.

The other birds in the game have farely similar abilties. They just have a makeover of their appearance.Here’s the entire crew of Angry Birds Star Wars.

There are a lot of in game cinematics as you progress with the game and this adds some nice pace while you are playing angry birds space.These cinematics also have great background music.

The eagle bird in angry birds space is now replaced with Angry Falcon. These are a bit tricky to use as it uses a signal to send a falcon ship to attack on the designated target but sometimes it takes time to get used to the accuracy of it. Scoring 100% in this is also quite challenging.

This game is huge and yes I am playing the HD version of the game. The quality being HD is pretty awesome and graphics is pretty brilliant. I didn’t face any bugs and it’s a solid game.

So should you try out this game? Yes, definetlely try this game out. You will have a great time playing this one. And for all star wars fans out there is a must have.

Angry Birds is the most popular game in any platform it hasn’t beat the old Nintendo Mario but, it’s actually the ‘Mario’ of the current youth generation .

Rovio the Game developer for Angry birds has teamed up with Star Wars trilogy based producer Lucas-films for the next version of Angry Birds called Angry Birds Star Wars.

this all great news for the fans of Star Wars series and Angry Birds as both will get a game of their interests.

Scheduled for download on November 8, the new game for iOS, Android, and computers will see the the birds in the Star Wars Avatar or roles.

In Angry Birds Star Wars, the birds will take on the personalities of the famous heroes, with the red bird assuming the lead role as Luke Skywalker. The evil piggies will be playing for the dark side of the force, taking on the roles of Darth Vader and other bad guys of the galaxies.

“You will see a pig-esque Vader and pig-esque stormtroopers,” Lucasfilm marketing VP Paul Southern told USA Today. “They are not Angry Birds dressed up as Star Wars characters,” Southern added. “They are characters in their own right.”

The new game will also adopt the gravitational hijinks seen in Angry Birds Space, USA Today said, with Luke’s home of world Tatooine and the ice planet of Hoth both making appearances.

“Both Star Wars and Angry Birds share the instant and irresistible appeal of hands-on fun,” Colum Slevin, head of studio operations for Lucasfilm, said in a statement. “People seem to instinctively know what to do when handed a lightsaber or a bird in a slingshot, so this is a natural combination.”

The game will be available on Apple’s iOS, Android, the Amazon Kindle Fire, the Mac, the PC, Windows Phone, and Windows 8.

Hello guys and welcome to another edition of WHATUP. I know its been a long time since I have posted a review of any game. Anyways lets get to it. It’s been almost 4 days since Rovio’s latest game Amazing Alex hit the Google Play store. If you would have read early posts in this website, you folks would have known that there were 3 versions of Amazing Alex in the Play store. The free one, the paid one and the HD one. I will be reviewing the HD one because its the best among the three. I will also be telling how much different is the free version from the paid ones. Like always this game was played on my ASUS Transformer Pad. I will be categorizing my review this time to Introduction, Presentation, Gameplay and Final score. So let’s get started.

Introduction

So just for a quick reminder of you folks out there this game is the first game from Rovio which doesnt involve birds. Yup, Rovio has finally come out of there Angry Birds mood and trying something different . Will there attempt be loved by their Angry Birds‘ fans? Well for starters this game is about a kid who’s getting bored and wants to try something to kill the boredom. That something is called Amazing Alex. Is it really that amazing?

Presentation

Okay to be honest this game looks very similar to Angry Birds. The Menu layout looks the same. The way how you navigate from stage to stage and chapter to chapter is quite similar. Well this is the first non-angry birds game but I expected a lot more with the design of the menu interface.

The game looks really nice and all the animation effects in the game are also good. But if you are coming from Angry birds, then there is nothing new you will find when it comes to looks and design.

Gameplay

The basic gameplay is that you arrange certain objects in various positions to complete certain tasks. Each mission comes with different things to do and the difficulty increases as every mission progresses. Unlike angry birds where there is a scoring system and a star rating system based on the score, Amazing Alex has only a star based rating and a the mission can be completed even without collecting any stars. This kind of reminds me of “cut the rope” which used to have a similar kind of rating system.

The paid versions comes with 4 chapters while the free one comes with just one chapter which has only 16 levels. This is very disappointing from Rovio as they used to give tonnes of Angry Birds levels for free, most of them being very challenging levels . But only 16 levels for a free version is very poor considering that 12 of them is almost like a tutorial. There is no challenge in finishing of these levels.

Levels are very easy to start with, showing you point by point steps.

And to talk about the kid. Phew. When Angry Birds first came out, it was all about the birds. They were the theme of the game and they were the hero of the game. But the Alex in Amazing Alex doesn’t do much apart from this:

I would have really liked it ,If the developers would have added some animations of Amazing Alex while he arranges all the items in the game. So that’s one of the minor downs of this game.

Well if you are asking whats new, I will tell you what’s new. This is :

Yup, That’s new. You can now create your own levels and upload them to Rovio. You can also download other user created levels and play them. These two new features is the only thing which makes the game different from Angry Birds. I know I have compared a lot of this game with Angry Birds but the truth is both games are very similar.

Final Verdict

The free version of the game has simply nothing to offer and AndroidNova.org rates 2/5 for the free version.It’s something that Rovio needs to work on and add some more content to the free version or else this will look like a kid’s game.

The HD version has a lot to offer, of course it comes at a price but still more levels and more fun is worth the price. But still this game needs a lot more energy in it and that’s what the game needs now. More gameplay. So AndroidNova.org rates 3.5/5 for the HD version.

Hello and welcome to WHATUP , here is the place where u get all reviews of the latest apps and games for android. If u want to request a review of any app do post in the comments and we will get back to you with the review. Now lets jump into the review of the latest levels from Angry Birds Space UTOPIA.

I want to let u folks know that I have been playing this game on my ASUS transformer pad. There were some crashes I got where the game just froze and I was forced to start the game all over again. Its definitely an app issue cos I haven’t experienced this issue while playing other games like temple run on my tab.

Coming to the bright side this is a really really amazing package of 10 levels. The level of difficulty is obviously increased but at the same time the creativity of the levels is top notch. So basically the main theme in this series is food food and food. You will see planets looking like donuts , apples , candy and what not . Pop corns fly around the space and jelly floors act like reflectors . There was really exciting level which reminded me of playing snooker and that’s one of the toughest levels in Space. While playing you will be hearing the sounds of the pig eating the food leaving crunching sounds as you play. I finished these levels in about an hour and half but experts should be able to finish it faster than my time. There are still more more levels to come in the next update, so lets wait and see what the makers are cooking up.

So to conclude this is an absolutely mouth watering series of Space . Go ahead and try it out from the play store. Its available for free but with ads and also available in premium version with a bonus levels of DANGER ZONE. I hope u enjoyed this edition of WHATUP. See you in the next edition of WHATUP.
