Exactly, Bootloader should be unlocked.Intel and Lava are not losing anything by doing this. Users who install custom roms will not be able to claim warranty. So If any handset is sent for servicing, users will have to pay for it. Lava and Intel will get money from it. I dont think that there is any reason for keeping the bootloader unlocked.
I agree with the users. There is no point in keeping the bootloader locked. If it is locked, then there will always be a dependency on update from Lava and Intel to enjoy a particular feature.When other companies are giving their users freedom to enjoy full features,then Intel and Lava should also not stop users from doing so. Please unlock the bootloader.
I mean to say that there is no point in keeping the bootloader locked. It should be unlocked and jelly bean update or Adroid 5.0 update should be provided for xolo x900

Yes I too agree.We,xolo x900 users, should get the unlocked bootloader.Currently phone is not performing upto the mark and we havent got any software update that can solve our problems like poor battery life, better camera output. So if xolo cannot provide us proper software updates, they should allow us to install custom roms.Please unlock the bootloader
Yes we all were hoping to get jelly bean update but recent comment from Lava manager has disappointed all of us.Entire world is planning for Android 5.0 and we still havent got jelly bean update.On top of the that they locked the bootloader under the name of software update.Please unlock the bootloader so that we are free to install the application of our choice.
I am completely agree with the petition and I hereby sign this petition. There is no reason for locking the bootloader for those who know it’s benefits and disadvantages. As we had already seen that our carrier takes long times for providing the os update and any other updates. I bought the Intel inside products as am aware of its potentials but locking the bootloader will probably had big negative impact. So I want to do some development research want to install some other os. So, I request you to unlock the bootloader make us use the full advantage of our phone.

I am a xolo x900 user too… And am really craving for these updates… First ics came late when it was promised when the phone was launched… And now there’s no word on jelly bean upgrade… I have sent dozen of mails to customer care and got no reply back!! The phone is a beast.. A very good work by Intel for sure… But lava needs step up too so that the customers are satisfied… But as they are far from it… I request Intel too unlock the bootloader for us… Fm radio and micro sd card support… When already present and capable of performing… Why denying the users its access… I only have hopes from Intel now..

This is a real let down from Intel, an epic fail at their attempt at joining android, the San diego/x900 is a great device, no doubt they done well there, but no jelly bean even though it is well known Intel have jelly bean running on this device, and to top it, they refuse to unlock boot loader which is a big no no in Android, it goes against the open nature of android. Of all people, I would expect Intel to understand the android community. At the end of the day Intel give up the security crap because that has already been beat with root for this device, do the honorable thing and allow boot loader unlock

I do stick with this fact bootloader should be unlocked Intel has not gave the phone its full potential but with unlocked bootloader we can….. Also we can use camera mods to make our our camera better.
I have to agree and I am disgusted by the fact that such a top performing company would lock the bootloader and remove the key feature of android – open source. It cannot harm you in anyway by unlocking as the people who are rooting or modding their phones know what they are doing and know that if something goes wrong, it is their fault and they do not have warranty. Why do you think all of the other devices are unlocked!?
However, I am sure that intel will start thinking straight and unlock it soon with jelly bean.

I’m very much impressed by the design of XOLO X900 with awesome features.. But, don’t understand why some features like FM, Memory card slot, OTG USB access, NFC file transfer and WiFi Direct are locked/restricted access while they are fully implemented in Hardware..?!!

Experience after buying x900.wi fi direct is a complete failure. Who unlocks available sd port?? The battery and camera perform as if they are in a race to c who performs the worst:’(. N then u have the random signal loss, sometimes headphones r not recognised n funniest part is sometimes it doesn’t charge unless u switch off phone n charge. I think ccare guys hav forgot their email password as our emails r never replied.

Also I would like to mention the fact that when I bought this phone it was priced at around 21000/- and its available for around 15000/- at present. So this depreciation must be compensated with the additional benefits of upgrading the phone with Jelly Bean. As mentioned already this is the first Intel phone in the series it should enjoy all latest upgrades. Xolo A1000 which is priced at 13 to 14 thousand, is available with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Xolo X 900 must get Jelly Bean.
