With the new launch of Galaxy Star(GT-S5282) ,Samsung has entered in competition of ‘5k PRICE RANGE‘ along with the popular Nokia Asha series and other domestic firms like Micromax and Karbonn.

Previously, Galaxy Y was the cheapest device in Samsung’s portfolio and it was available for Rs 5,890.

Now South Korean mobile handset maker Samsung Electronics today launched its cheapest Galaxy series phone ‘Star’ priced at Rs 5,240(94.55 US Dollar).

LG seems to be planning to launch it in Indian markets. The device is found available for pre-orders with official LG INDIA warranty  at well known Indian e-commercial shopping site, FLIPKART! with a price tag of 25,990 INR which is a bit high as compared to its US price. As for now it’s OUT-OF-STOCK but lets hope it comes back in stock soon.

Sony the Japanese Electronic giant unveiled a variant of the top of the line Xperia Z as Xperia ZR. Though the ZR inherited most of its features like dust resistance and waterproof from predecessor Xperia Z , ZR is bit ahead. You could actually use your phone underwater to capture pics and record videos. Record videos while you are underwater diving or swimming.(Soo useful, like if people gonna use it everyday!!!!) . It lets you record videos,capture photos underwater for about 30mins at a depth of 1.5m (just 1.5 m, thats a depth of a baby’s swimming pool).

 

Basically the specifications of the Xperia ZR are almost similar to Z. Except the screen resolution is bit low ie  720 x 1280 pixels, 4.55 inches at ~323 ppi pixel density(Not a Full HD display). Apart from that the display is powered by the Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 which is said to give the crisp and clear display with a wider viewing angles.

 

 

Tech Specifications of Xperia ZR:

Xperia ZR posses a 2GB ram which is enough for multitasking and has Aderno 302 GPU which is pretty okay for the HD gaming. It has all the Standard connectivity features like Wifi 802.11a/b/g/n ,Bluetooth v4.0 and NFC.

Everybody was eagerly waiting for May 14 for announcing the all new beefed up version of the Lumia 920,yes the Nokia Lumia 928.

The Nokia Lumia 928 is the latest device of the Nokia’s Windows Phone 8 line-up.The new flagship phone offers an 8.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, which boasts optical image stabilization for better low-light photography and more stable pics overall.

Let’s talk about rest features of this amazing Lumia.

The device has a 4.5-inch OLED display protected by Gorilla Glass, built-in wireless charging capabilities, and three high-audio-amplitude-capture microphones that are said to record audio up to 140db with distortion-free clarity.

It weighs 162g compared with 185g for the 920, which some critics had said was too heavy. The 4.5in screen also extends to the edge of the phone, giving a sharper impression than the curved edges of the 920.

Most other features, such as a 8.7MP camera and 1.5GHz dual core processor by Qualcomm, are the same as the 920.The good thing is that the phone will, come with Nokia goodies like HERE Drive+ worldwide SatNav, Nokia Music, Transit, City Lens.

The Nokia Lumia 928 will be available on May 16th at VerizonWireless.com and at your local Verizon Wireless Store for a price of $99 after a $50 mail in rebate. Also, a new 2-year service agreement is required.

Also buyers of the Nokia Lumia 928 will get a $25 credit for Windows Phone apps and games with the purchase of the phone.
