Xolo is set to conquer Indian Mobile Market with its new range of affordable smartphones. Xolo Q1000 is expected to be the upcoming king in race which is expected to be launched in May – June 2013 with a price tag of 14,000-14,999 INR.

Brief specifications of Xolo Q1000 are :-

1.2 GHz Mediatek 6589 Quad core processor which will ensure smooth lagfree multiple apps,GUI and great multitasking on our beloved Android 4.2 Jellybean.
The Dual SIM feature is an added bonus for users,who want to separate personal and professional lifes.
The PowerVr SGX 544 GPU is capable of exceeding both OpenGL ES 2.0 and DirectX9 requirements, making it ideal for tablets, computing devices and smartphones which will ensure the gamers get enough of adrenaline rush while playing graphic intensive HD games.
The battery is 2100mAh and will be sufficient to keep this device happy for a day with normal tasks.

Expected price of Xolo X910 is 10000 INR which is at very competitive price considering the range of phones in this category.This phone can quite be a game-changer for Intel, as it struggles with the onslaught of ARM processor being used in every smartphone.

Xolo X900 or the international Orange San Diego users will not be happy with this device as XOLO has not updated the X900 to Jellybean and instead Xolo has launched another Intel device sporting Jellybean OS.

Returning back to the specifications,The 4.3″ inch screen is aimed at users who aren’t interested in small 3.5 inch screen and are also uncomfortable with 5 inch phablet screens.Hence this device will be comfortable to keep in pockets or purses. The qHD or Quarter HD resolution will be okay for the users in this price category they will surely not complain about the resolution as its more aimed to be a budget smartphone.

Considering the devices 2000 mAh battery will be sufficient to power the single core 1.6GHZ processor and the remaining hardware for at-least a day or half. Kernel optimization will help to reduce the battery power drainage. We expect better power management in this device from Xolo.

The 5 Megapixel camera is enough as long it will take crisper shots;The camera in Xolo X900 Intel phone fared badly after the Ice Cream sandwich update, we hope the Jellybean OS will be helpful for maintaining the X910 camera’s picture clarity.We dont have the actual photograph of the device but, we will surely update our readers with that very soon.

Samsung Launches Samsung Galaxy Core

Samsung is on a phone-launch riot especially by launching galaxy series and launched the Galaxy Core in India soon after their flagship device launch. Samsung Galaxy Core is said by the company to be a power-packed phone, which focuses on “Ideal Portability”.The phone boasts an uninteresting specifications which arent quite a normal or default specifications of phones in this range.

The Samsung Galaxy Core comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA TFT LCD with a 480×800-pixel resolution. The phone runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.

Under the screen runs a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. The phone comes with 8 GB internal storage options and 1 GB RAM. The memory can be expanded up to 64 GB using a Micro-SD card. Though a budget device, Samsung has not compromised with the hardware. The 1 GB RAM and dual-core processor should take you through most apps without a glitch. Though not heavy games, if the specs hold true, the phone will support multi-tasking with ease.However we don’t have any information regarding any graphics chip used on this device.Because of past experience Samsung has wonderfully upgraded the RAM to 1GB by not keeping it to 512MB or 768 MB

The phone comes with a 5 MP rear end camera with LED flash. The front camera for video-calling is a basic VGA camera. The rear camera supports functions like Best Photo, Continuous, Panorama, Share shot, Smile Shot, Cartoon.

The Samsung Galaxy Core supports some functions introduced by Samsung during the launch of the Samsung galaxy S4. The phone comes with Smart Stay technology which recognizes when a user is looking at the phone, and saves battery life when a user looks away by dimming the screen and powering down using advanced facial recognition. While the Samsung Galaxy S4 came with Smart Scroll which lets users play/pause a video by just looking at it, Samsung has introduced a basic version for the Samsung Galaxy Core.

The phone is available in both dual-SIM and single SIM variant depending on the market. While the dual-SIM variant will be available this month onwards, the single SIM variant will take time and is expected to launch in July. The phone comes with a 1800 mAh battery. According to the Press Release: The GALAXY Core is the perfect device for the user looking for optimal balance of portability and power.

Samsung is yet to announce the price of the phone but the phone is targeted at the budget audience and will compete with the HTC Desire X, Sony Xperia U, Motorola Atrix 2, Nokia Lumia 620 and LG Optimus L7 II Dual. Lets hope Samsung keeps our promise and makes this devices available for its users at an affordable cost.
