Galaxy S Advance may get Jelly Bean in January

This good news comes from the Facebook page of Samsung Germany. However We cannot guarantee whether the information is 100% true as many pages in the past have proclaimed things which didn’t turned up.
Samsung Sweden reported the update for the Galaxy S II Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean was expected in November.

Samsung Sweden re-updated this page to November – December.
Let’s hope Samsung Germany is right!

The Galaxy S Advance is a curved Android device with a

4.0” sAMOLED display

5 megapixel camera and a dual-core processor.

The Advance currently runs Android 2.3.6.(Gingerbread)

When the Galaxy S Advance gets Android 4.1.2 the phone will feel as new. Samsung has planned many new features in Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean including the famous project butter which will provide uses of this device with smooth menu transitions.

We have month left for this update ,in the meantime lets indulge in Rooting  the Galaxy S Advance

Androidcommunity.com reports a new 10” Android tablet is going to appear in the market which would be named as MediaPad 10 Link, by Huawei based on information from Bluetooth 3.0 and WIFI certification documents but currently we don’t have much information about the device but let’s have a look to the current information androidcommunity.com is offering us.

First of all it appears that there will be three different versions of MediaPad 10 Link and it will come in different model numbers – S10-201w, S10-20u and S10-202u, currently we don’t know the exact disparity between the models, but as androidcommunity.com suspects, we do the same, it’s possible that some of the models will come with support for mobile data networks while one might be Wi-Fi only version.

Androidcommunity’s reports based on the same documents specify that the device has been certified for dual band 2.4/5.x GHZ Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. Based on the same documents the Huawei MediaPad 10 Link will have a 10 inch IPS LCD screen displaying at an HD resolution, but specifics weren’t mentioned. The tablet is expected to run an unspecified version of Android, androidcommunity guessing that will be Jelly Bean. Finally we have an image of the Tablet offered by the Bluetooth certification.

Google which produces there flagship tablet series called “NEXUS” in which Google has always tried to do something special for every NEXUS tablet though it may be with its software configuration or with its hardware and due to such experiment’s their tablet has become people’s first choice of buying in recent years.

The Nexus 7 which has been labeled as one of the most hack able device of 2012 thanks to Google’s innovative ideas while making a tablet which differs from its previous version in some way or the other. And now they again included some features like upgrading it to JELLY BEAN OS, as well as including buttons for gaming. So, for extreme gamers this one is going out to be a perfect partner during traveling.

The new NEXUS 7 UI is not just a device; it’s a complete new device. With new OS, when Google tried to design a 7 inch tablet they completely changed the conventional tablet powered by android OS. The NEXUS 7 UI is not just a phone, or a tablet but mix of both.

Before the N7, Android gave you two different system bar layouts: The 2 bar layout (right), which has the button bar on the bottom, centered buttons, and a status bar on the top; and the 1 bar layout (left), which has a combined button and status bar on the bottom, with left aligned buttons. Conventional wisdom said the 2 bar layout was for phones, and the 1 bar layout was for tablets.

Their rotation behavior is different too. For the 2 bar layout the button does not move with orientation, and the status bar does. It means in portrait mode they remains at bottom while the status bar goes to top, while in landscape mode the buttons are on the right, and the status bar is on the top. The 1 bar layout is much simpler, the single bar moves with the orientation, so everything is always on the bottom.

This was the outlook of bars till the NEXUS 7 was launched. The left one was how the phone worked and the right one was how the tablets worked. When NEXUS 7 launched the clean tablet/phone came crashing down.

This is the Nexus 7′s system UI. It’s a third style of device – a phone/tablet hybrid. The dual-bar, centered button layout of a phone and all-orientations are equal rotation of a tablet.

It looks like the most logical rotation style for dual bar UI, but things don’t work in this way on phone, because in landscape the vertical space is at premium, and due to dual bar it will consume more screen space hence less space for display, but it’s not with the case of NEXUS 7 due to its 7 inch display you got more breathtaking space, so Google opted for consistent button locations- they’re always on top.

Due to this kind of button arrangements it has really boosted its gaming usability.  With bottom centered buttons, you are much less likely to accidentally hit a system button while blowing stuff up.

Consider a typical “touch screen touch pad” control scheme, like a dead trigger. On the above fig, which is a Galaxy Nexus, your right thumb is very near to back and home button, and while gaming as you all know we never care about buttons and in such case during extreme situation in games and by your fault you accidentally touches  any of the button, then your whole gaming session will be lost. And you may feel to break this device into two parts.

While in the case of N7 the whole system buttons has been placed at top center position hence you will hardly get time to accidentally touch back or home button while you’re gaming sessions. Even the positioning of start/select button of N7 is reminiscent of a real controller. In fact, hold an xbox 360 controller and N7 controller you will see the staring resemblance.

While the hid-able buttons are good as it would resolve the problem of accidentally hitting the system button as well as the doubt which sets in our mind while playing. “Where are my buttons?”A problem might occur because of hidden buttons.  Phone doesn’t have such space to hold such layouts and it would be interesting to see what will be the layout for a 10 inch tablet.

It has been praised as a good media consumption device. Matias Duarte, the head of Android UX, even confirmed the button placement gaming considerations in a Google+ thread. The N7′S weight and size makes it perfect gadget for gaming and the new button layout makes it more interesting to work over it.

Nexus 4
Yea folks. Why? As reported earlier in our website , the nexus 4 for supposed to launch on November 30. But there’s been no news so far about the launch , so expect a certain delay of the launch by at least a month or two. So most probably a Month or two. So the question is should you wait for it? My answer would certainly be YES. Here’s why and I will be explaining this on terms of one reason and that is Android Fragmentation.

Android fragmentation is a problem that Android phones are suffering ever since it launched.Like for example if I take two phones. One from Google like the Galaxy Nexus and the other from lets say from Motorola the Droid Razr. Both these phones launched at the same time in late 2011. But if you see the official firmware they run on, The Galaxy Nexus runs on the latest Jellybean 4.1.2 (4.2 will be there in a few days) while the Razr runs on Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 ( It took 8 months to get it).

So the difference is clear. If you buy a device from Google you are guaranteed to get the latest software and If you buy other devices from Samsung HTC Motorola Sony etc. you have to wait and wait to get it and sometimes the device never ends up getting the upgrade.

Yea there are many advantages of those devices like Samsung which has many touchwiz features like the recently famous feature of multi-window which is not even a stock android features. And yea LG as a mobile brand hasn’t been doing well before the launch of Nexus 4 and there is that mentality people have that because its from LG the phone won’t be that good , but trust me or Androidnova this is a phone from Google and LG so you are getting the best of the best when you are getting this device.

We also heard some of the drawbacks of this device and that is the lack of 4G LTE support but being an Indian consumer that’s something which you should least worry about as in India 3G is still developing stages.

So the bottom line is wait for the device to launch in India. The hardware in it is just supreme and with the latest software updates it will only get better.

Hello Readers!

We have something special for all of you specially those who are followers of Samsung and those who love photography, so let’s begin with it.

Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Camera that was firstly seen at IFA 2012 in Berlin in August.

Samsung Galaxy Camera Launched In India!

In a proffer to generate a novel class placed between Smartphones and cameras, Samsung Electronics on Friday launched its Galaxy camera in India.

“The collaboration between mobile and digital cameras has allowed Samsung to create the first connected camera using technology like 3G and marks the next era in the history of camera evolution,” said Asim Warsi, Vice-President Samsung Mobile.

The device is one of the first of its kind, although the concept has been around for years.

Samsung had announced that the Android-powered camera would be launched in India in before Diwali throughout the Indian launch of the Galaxy Note II in September; however the launch was delayed for indefinite grounds.

India is among the first five markets in the world where the camera has been launched, stated Mr. Asim Warsi.

Samsung Galaxy Camera Launched In India!

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is essentially a twosome of a camera with a Smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is erected on the DNA of Samsung’s awfully admired Galaxy S III Android Smartphone, and it shares the Exynos 4 processor, a quad core chip that is clocked at 1.4GHz. There is also 1GB RAM is provided along with 8GB on board storage, which is expandable by microSD card. There is a stunning 4.8-inch touch screen at the back, which seems like the Galaxy S III at the first glance. The Galaxy camera stands apart as a superior innovation by wadding in 3G/4G radios.

Samsung’s objective with the Galaxy Camera has been to create a truly connected shooter. They eradicated the “yes, I’ll mail you the pictures later when I go to home” thing by installing connectivity alternatives into the camera through by which images can be shared straight away i.e. Users can edit and share pictures from the camera itself. Talking about Android powered cameras, we have an option Nikon’s Coolpix S800c running Gingerbread, but Samsung’s Galaxy Camera stands apart from it in almost every single way.

The camera is available in the market from 23 November at a cost of 29000 INR

Key specifications:

Image Sensor: 16.5 megapixel 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS

Lens: 21x Optical Zoom Lens, 23 mm Wide Angle, F2.8(W) ~ 5.9(T)

The peak of the camera has the shutter button along with the power button. On one side is the USB port and headphones jack. The rest of the connectivity options are at the bottom, under the battery cover. The device also abode a flash that can pop up with the press of a button.

The only absence is being the ability to make calls from it while it supports 3G capabilities via a SIM card. The camera has three customizable home screens just like an Android Smartphone. The right has three capacitive buttons representing back, home and menu.

According to our information Sammy is planning to update the device to Android 4.2 (especially for the Photo Sphere feature) soon.

Samsung Galaxy Camera

It runs on Android with such remarkable hardware, the Galaxy Camera allows the users to download any app from the App store runs it on the camera. It supports intermediary photography apps too like Instagram and Panorama Camera 360.

One aspect of the camera that Mr. Warsi pointed out specifically was that it doesn’t come with German-made lenses.

Its voice control alternative allows users to manage a number of functions such as ‘Zoom in’ and ‘Shoot’ by voice.

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is the most excellent Android-based camera that’s available now, but consumers should consider the cost promise that comes with being always connected.

Though it doesn’t allow making calls but it has the whole thing that a mobile phone should have.

5 Million Samsung Galaxy Note II sold in Two Months

South Korean Electronic Giant has succeeded in selling 5 million Galaxy Note II in just two month.  Note II was launched just two month ago in September. After selling  5 million units it has surpassed the predecessor Note’s record. Though last month Samsung announced that it had already sold 3 million Note II, 2 million more added onto this month allowing it to cross the whopping 5 million mark.

The 5.5″ hybrid (Phablet is considered as taboo by some) launched on September 29 has Quad-Core 1.6Ghz A9 Cortex processor with Mali400 GPU. Like its predecessor NOTE 1 it has a stylus. Stylus which was considered as dead was bought back to life with Samsung NOTE.

5 Million Samsung Galaxy Note II sold in Two MonthsSamsung Note II build on innovative ideas allows multiwindows, thus fully utilizing the huge screen to the fullest. Stylus is redefined in Note 2 such that creativity flows from mind to stylus like waterfall. Even noting down a phone number is a fun thing in it. Hats off to Samsung for Note II.

Though 5 Million is a huge number but these sales are overshadowed by the 30 Million sales of Samsung Galaxy S3. Considering the fact that S3 was released months ago of Note II still both are best sellers for Samsung.
